Mentorship Program

This research-validated intervention is designed to empower and support students in their journey towards personal growth and academic success. By fostering purposeful relationships between mentors and mentees, we aim to provide recognition, encouragement, and guidance to help young students set higher goals, overcome challenges, and develop essential life skills.

Why Mentorship?

Who?

Primary school students who are seeking additional support and guidance in their educational journey are welcome to apply. Mentors, on the other hand, are passionate secondary or university students who are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of young students. Together, mentors and mentees form a strong support system that promotes mutual growth and development.

How?

The program begins every school year with in-person bonding activities that allow mentors and mentees to set the foundation for meaningful mentorship relationships by fostering trust, rapport, and mutual understanding. Following these bonding activities, mentors check-in with their mentees weekly, either online or in-person, to provide companionship, academic support, and life guidance. These regular check-ins serve as opportunities for mentors to offer personalized assistance, address challenges, celebrate achievements, and provide encouragement.

In addition to the initial bonding activities, the program also provides ongoing opportunities for mentors and mentees to strengthen their connection through a variety of bonding activities and events scheduled throughout the year. These activities include outings, workshops, and community service projects designed to facilitate interaction, collaboration, and shared experiences.

Through personalized activities and ongoing communication, mentors help mentees broaden their perspectives, enhance self-esteem, and navigate the challenges they face. By fostering a supportive and inclusive environment, the program empowers mentees to develop resilience, self-confidence, and a sense of belonging, ultimately equipping them with the skills and support system needed to thrive academically and personally.
